Operational Principle:
Wet materials are fed continuously from the feeder onto the first layer of the drying plate atop the dryer. The rotating rake arm, equipped with rake blades, ensures constant flipping of materials. As materials traverse the drying tray's surface in an exponential spiral fashion, they are transferred from the smaller tray's outer edge to the larger tray below. On the larger drying tray, materials shift inward, falling into the next layer's smaller drying tray via the central feeding port. The alternating arrangement of large and small plates facilitates smooth material flow throughout the entire dryer.
The hollow drying plate, infused with a heating medium such as saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, or high-temperature molten salt, maintains optimal heating efficiency. The medium flows in from one side of the plate and exits the other. The dried material descends from the final drying plate to the aggregate tray, where it is efficiently transported by rake blades to the discharge port. Moisture evaporates from the material, exiting through the strategically placed dehumidification port on the top cover. In vacuum disc dryers, moisture is extracted via the vacuum port. The discharged dry materials are ready for immediate packaging.
