Vacuum Dryer: This sophisticated equipment operates under negative pressure, featuring a shell with a steam jacket and rotating rake teeth inside. The rake teeth reverse approximately every 10-15 minutes to ensure even stirring and continuous surface renewal. A vacuum pump extracts the vaporized water (or solvent). This method allows drying at lower temperatures, preventing material decomposition, making it ideal for chemical and pharmaceutical production.
Vacuum Drying Process: This involves heating and drying materials under vacuum conditions using a vacuum pump for suction and dehumidification, significantly accelerating the drying rate and conserving energy. Vacuum drying equipment is categorized into static and dynamic models: YZG cylindrical and FZG square vacuum dryers are static, while SZG double cone rotary vacuum dryers are dynamic. Static dryers preserve material form and allow for pre-drying disinfection. Dynamic dryers ensure more even and thorough drying by continuously flipping the material. Lower boiling points in vacuum conditions suit drying unstable or heat-sensitive materials. Vacuum dryers also excel in solvent recovery and handling irritant or toxic gases, widely used in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, dyes, etc., complying with GMP standards.
Operational Principle:
1) Heat energy (hot water, low-pressure steam, or thermal oil) is introduced into a closed interlayer, transferring heat to the material through the inner shell.
2) The tank rotates slowly under power, ensuring continuous mixing of the materials inside, thus enhancing the drying process.
3) In a vacuum state, the reduction in vapor pressure causes surface moisture (solvent) to reach saturation and evaporate, promptly discharged and recovered by the vacuum pump. This process is repeated, facilitating continuous permeation, evaporation, and discharge of moisture (solvent) from the material, achieving quick and efficient drying.
