Principle:
The vacuum rake dryer represents an innovative horizontal intermittent vacuum drying system. The wet material undergoes conduction-based evaporation, with a scraper agitator continuously cleaning the hot surface material and moving it within the container to ensure thorough circulation. The evaporated water is efficiently removed by a vacuum pump, making this dryer highly suitable for drying organic semi-finished products and fuel in the chemical industry.
The steam-jacketed design of the vacuum rake dryer allows for indirect heating and high vacuum gas exhaust. This makes it perfect for materials sensitive to high temperatures, oxidation, or powder formation during drying. Capable of handling materials with initial moisture or solvent contents up to 90%, the dryer reduces this to as low as 0.1%, or even 0.05%. Suitable for slurry, paste, granular, powdery, or fibrous materials, it ensures optimal drying results.
Material is introduced from the top middle section of the shell. Under continuous agitation from rotating harrow teeth, the material contacts the shell wall, leading to constant surface renewal. Indirect steam heating causes moisture vaporization, which is promptly extracted by a vacuum pump. The dryer can simultaneously heat the interlayer and harrow teeth. Operating under high vacuum, it facilitates efficient water discharge from material surfaces, enhancing overall drying efficiency.
