Principle:
The vacuum rake dryer is an innovative horizontal, batch-type vacuum drying apparatus. It utilizes conduction to evaporate moisture from wet materials, with a scraper agitator that consistently clears material from the heated surface, promoting continuous circulation within the container. Moisture is vaporized and efficiently extracted via a vacuum pump. Notably employed in the chemical industry, it excels in drying organic semi-finished products and fuels.
The advanced steam jacket in the vacuum rake dryer heats materials indirectly under high vacuum conditions, making it ideal for substances sensitive to high temperatures, susceptible to oxidation, or prone to dust formation during drying, such as specific fuels. This dryer is also perfect when the process requires vapor or solvent recovery. It achieves moisture or solvent content reductions from as high as 90% to as low as 15%, reaching post-drying moisture levels as minimal as 0.1% or even 0.05%. The system accommodates various material types, including slurries, pastes, granules, powders, or fibers.
Material is introduced from the top center of the system. Under constant stirring by rotating harrow teeth, the material is continuously renewed as it contacts the shell wall. Indirectly heated by steam, the material's moisture vaporizes and is promptly extracted by a vacuum pump. This system supports simultaneous heating of both the interlayer and harrow teeth. Operating under high vacuum enhances the pressure differential, boosting the discharge of moisture from both the surface and interior of materials, facilitating efficient drying.
