Description:
The disc continuous dryer is a highly efficient, conductive, and continuous drying system. Its unique structure and operational principles ensure high thermal efficiency, low energy consumption, minimal footprint, straightforward configuration, ease of operation and control, and an optimal working environment.
Operational Principle:
Wet materials are fed continuously from the top feeder to the first layer drying plate. The rake arm with rake blades rotates, flipping the materials as they flow along an exponential spiral over the drying tray surfaces. The material transitions from smaller to larger drying plates, descending layer by layer, ensuring continuous flow through the entire dryer.
The hollow drying plates are filled with heating mediums such as saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, or high-temperature molten salt. The heating medium flows from one end of the plate to the other. Dried material falls from the final layer onto an aggregate tray and is transported to the discharge port. Moisture evaporates and exits through the dehumidification port on the top cover, or through the vacuum port in a vacuum disc dryer. The dried material can be directly packaged or further processed. By adding auxiliary equipment like finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre-dryers, and induced draft fans, drying capacity and efficiency are significantly enhanced. This system is ideal for drying paste-like and heat-sensitive materials, recovering solvents, and performing heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and reaction operations.
