Principle:
The Vacuum Rake Dryer is an innovative horizontal intermittent vacuum drying apparatus designed for optimal moisture removal. It operates by conduction evaporation, with a scraper agitator that cleans and circulates materials inside the container. This design ensures effective drying, particularly in the chemical industry for organic semi-finished products and fuel drying operations.
The steam jacket within the Vacuum Rake Dryer facilitates indirect heating under high vacuum, making it perfect for materials sensitive to high temperatures or prone to oxidization or powdering during drying. It is adept at recovering vapor or solvent. The dried material's moisture or solvent content can vary from 90% to as low as 15%, accommodating slurry, paste, granular, powdery, or fibrous materials, achieving moisture levels down to 0.1% or even 0.05%.
Materials are introduced from the upper shell, and under the action of rotating rake teeth, are continuously refreshed against the shell wall, heated indirectly by steam to vaporize moisture, which is promptly evacuated by a vacuum pump. With simultaneous heating of the jacket and rake teeth, the high operational vacuum ensures efficient moisture discharge from and around the material, promoting effective drying at the molecular level.
