The disc continuous dryer is an advanced conductive continuous drying system known for its unparalleled efficiency. Operational Principle:
Wet materials are continuously fed onto the initial drying plate at the top of the dryer, where a rotating rake arm with blades continuously flips the materials. The material moves across the drying tray surface in an exponential spiral pattern. On smaller trays, materials transfer to the outer edge, falling onto larger trays below, where they move inward and then fall onto the next layer of smaller trays through central feeding ports. This alternating arrangement ensures a continuous material flow through the dryer.
The hollow drying plates are filled with heating mediums such as saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, or high-temperature molten salt, entering from one end and exiting from the other. Dried materials fall from the final drying tray layer to an aggregate tray and are then transported to the discharge port. Moisture is expelled through a dehumidification port on the top cover or vacuum port for vacuum disc dryers. The processed dry materials can be directly packaged, and auxiliary equipment like finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre-dryers, and induced draft fans can enhance production capacity, making it suitable for drying heat-sensitive and paste-like materials, recovering solvents, and performing heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and reaction operations.
