The disc continuous dryer is a highly efficient conductive continuous drying equipment. Operational Principle:
Wet materials are continuously fed from the feeder onto the first layer drying plate at the top of the dryer. The rake arm with blades rotates, continuously flipping the materials, allowing them to flow along an exponential spiral over the surface of the drying tray. The material on the small drying tray moves to the outer edge and drops to the larger drying tray below. On the large drying tray, the material flows inward and falls through the middle feeding port onto the next layer of the small drying tray. The alternating arrangement of large and small drying plates ensures a seamless, continuous flow of materials through the entire dryer.
The hollow drying plate is filled with heating mediums such as saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, or high-temperature molten salt. The heating medium enters from one end and exits from the other. Dried materials fall from the last layer onto the aggregate tray and are transported by the rake blades to the discharge port. Moisture evaporates from the material and exits via the dehumidification port on the top cover. In the vacuum disc dryer, moisture is extracted through the vacuum port. The dry materials discharged from the bottom layer can be immediately packaged. By incorporating auxiliary equipment like finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre dryers, and induced draft fans, drying production capacity can be significantly enhanced. This equipment is ideal for drying paste-like and heat-sensitive materials, solvent recovery, heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and reaction operations.
