Operational Principle:
Wet materials are methodically introduced from the feeder to the topmost drying plate. Here, a rotating rake arm with specialized blades continually flips the materials. As they traverse the drying tray's surface in an exponential spiral, the material cascades from the small drying tray to the outer edge, then seamlessly transitions to the larger tray below. This alternating arrangement of large and small drying plates facilitates a smooth, continuous flow throughout the entire dryer.
The hollow drying plates are infused with a heating medium, which could be saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, or high-temperature molten salt. This medium enters at one end and exits at the other, efficiently drying the material, which then progresses to the aggregate tray and is finally conveyed by rake blades to the discharge port. Moisture escapes through a dehumidification port at the top, while in a vacuum disc dryer, it is extracted via a vacuum port. The dried materials, ready for packaging, can be enhanced with auxiliary equipment such as finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre-dryers, and induced draft fans, boosting the drying process's capability.
