The Disc Continuous Dryer is a high-efficiency, conductive drying system. Its innovative structure and operational dynamics promise exceptional thermal efficiency, low energy consumption, compact design, simple configuration, ease of operation, and a favorable working environment.
Operational Principle:
Wet materials are continuously fed into the first layer of the upper drying plate. Here, a rotating rake arm with blades flips the materials, causing them to flow across the drying plate surface in an exponential spiral. From the edge of the small drying plate, materials fall onto the larger plate below and move inward, continuing this pattern through alternating plates. This design ensures a seamless flow throughout the dryer.
The hollow drying plates, filled with heating mediums such as saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, or high-temperature molten salt, distribute heat uniformly. The dried material from the last layer falls onto the collection tray and is moved by rake blades to the discharge port. Moisture is expelled through a dehumidification port on the top cover, with vacuum extraction available for vacuum disc dryers. The dry materials can be directly packaged. By incorporating auxiliary equipment like finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre-dryers, and induced draft fans, we enhance drying capacity. This setup is ideal for drying paste-like and heat-sensitive materials, enabling operations like solvent recovery, heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and other reactions.
