Principle:
The vacuum rake dryer is an innovative horizontal intermittent vacuum drying apparatus. Wet materials undergo evaporation through conduction, with a scraper agitator ensuring continuous cleaning of the hot surface and facilitating movement within the container to promote circulation. The evaporated water is then extracted by a vacuum pump. Widely used in the chemical industry, it is ideal for drying organic semi-finished products and fuels.
The vacuum rake dryer employs a steam jacket for indirect heating and gas exhaustion under high vacuum conditions. This makes it perfect for drying materials sensitive to high temperatures, easily oxidized, or prone to powder formation (such as various fuels). It also excels in scenarios where vapor or solvents must be recovered during drying. The moisture or solvent content in the dried material can vary from 90% to as low as 15%, suitable for slurry, paste, granular, powdery, or fibrous materials. Post-drying moisture content typically reaches 0.1%, or even as low as 0.05%.
Material is fed from the top-middle part of the shell, and under continuous agitation by rotating harrow teeth, it contacts the shell wall, constantly renewing its surface. The material is indirectly heated by steam, facilitating moisture vaporization, which is then promptly extracted by the vacuum pump. The machine can heat both the interlayer and harrow teeth simultaneously. The high operating vacuum creates a significant vapor pressure difference, enhancing water discharge from the material, thus achieving the desired drying effect efficiently.
