Principle:
The innovative vacuum rake dryer emerges as a groundbreaking horizontal intermittent vacuum drying solution. By employing conduction to evaporate moisture from wet materials, our scraper agitator continuously refreshes the material on the heated surface, encouraging a fluid circulation within the container. The evaporated water is efficiently expelled by a vacuum pump, making this device especially favored in the chemical industry for drying organic semi-finished products and fuels.
Equipped with a steam jacket, the vacuum rake dryer indirectly heats materials and effectively exhausts gases under a high vacuum. This makes it ideal for temperatures-sensitive substances prone to oxidation or powdering during drying. The apparatus is capable of handling a diverse range of materials-be it slurry, paste, granular, powdery, or fibrous-with moisture content varying from as high as 90% down to as low as 15%. Post-drying, the moisture content can be impressively reduced to 0.1% or even 0.05%.
Materials are introduced from the top of the dryer, where rotating harrow teeth ensure constant agitation. As the material contacts the shell wall, the surface is perpetually renewed, receiving indirect heat from steam that vaporizes the moisture. A vacuum pump promptly removes this vapor. Additionally, simultaneous heating of the interlayer and harrow teeth is possible, optimizing water vapor pressure to enhance moisture expulsion and streamline the drying process for optimal results.
