Overview:
A centrifugal spray dryer utilizes a centrifugal atomizer to dry liquid materials. This essential industrial process is widely used for producing powdery and granular products from solutions, emulsions, suspensions, and pumping lake liquids. When precise particle size distribution, residual moisture content, bulk density, and particle shape are required, spray drying stands out as an ideal solution.
Principle:
The centrifugal spray dryer operates by passing air through a filter and heater, directing it into the air distributor at the top of the dryer. The feed liquid is pumped from a tank to a centrifugal atomizer, where it is transformed into tiny mist droplets. These droplets encounter hot air in a co-current manner, leading to rapid water evaporation and drying of the product within seconds. The dried product is then collected from the bottom of the drying tower and the cyclone separator, while the waste gas is expelled via a fan. Users can choose appropriate heating and dust removal modes based on their specific requirements.
