Principle:
The vacuum rake dryer is an innovative horizontal, intermittent vacuum drying equipment. Wet materials undergo conduction-based evaporation while a scraper agitator continuously cleans the hot surface and facilitates material circulation within the container. The evaporated water is efficiently pumped out by a vacuum pump. This dryer is predominantly used in the chemical industry for drying organic semi-finished products and fuels.
Featuring a steam jacket for indirect material heating and high-vacuum gas exhaust, the vacuum rake dryer is perfect for materials that cannot withstand high temperatures, are easily oxidizable, or prone to powdering during drying. Ideal for drying various fuels and recovering vapor or solvents, the equipment handles moisture content ranging from 90% down to 15%. It efficiently dries slurry, paste, granular, powdery, or fibrous materials, achieving final moisture content as low as 0.1% or even 0.05%.
Materials are introduced from the top center of the shell, where constantly rotating rake teeth agitate the material. Contact with the shell wall continuously refreshes the surface, and steam indirectly heats the material, vaporizing its moisture. The vaporized moisture is promptly evacuated by a vacuum pump. The machine can heat both the interlayer and the rake teeth. With a high operating vacuum, the water vapor pressure on the material surface is significantly higher than in the evaporating space, promoting efficient moisture discharge and facilitating the movement of water molecules, thereby achieving optimal drying results.
