Principle:
The vacuum rake dryer, a pioneering horizontal intermittent vacuum drying apparatus, utilizes conductive evaporation. A scraper agitator perpetually cleanses the hot surface material, promoting circulation within the container. The evaporated water is efficiently extracted by a vacuum pump, making it highly suitable for drying organic semi-finished products and fuels in the chemical sector.
The vacuum rake dryer incorporates a steam jacket for indirect heating at high vacuum, ideal for drying heat-sensitive and easily oxidized materials, such as various fuels. It's especially effective when vapor or solvent recovery is needed during drying. Capable of handling materials with moisture or solvent content ranging from 90% to as low as 15%, it seamlessly dries slurries, pastes, granules, powders, or fibers to moisture levels as minimal as 0.1%, or even 0.05%.
Materials are introduced via the upper shell section, where constant harrow tooth agitation ensures the material surface is continuously refreshed against the shell wall. This interaction facilitates indirect steam heating, leading to moisture vaporization, promptly extracted by a vacuum pump. Heating can occur through both the interlayer and harrow teeth, optimizing the high vacuum conditions. This significant water vapor pressure differential expedites internal and surface moisture release, enhancing water molecule mobility for efficient drying.
