Description:
The disc continuous dryer stands out as an efficient, conductive drying solution. Its innovative structure and operational principle ensure high thermal efficiency, reduced energy consumption, compact size, straightforward setup, ease of operation and control, and a favorable working environment.
Operational Principle:
Wet materials are continuously fed from the feeder to the first-layer drying plate at the top. The rotating rake arm with rake blades flips the materials, allowing them to flow along an exponential spiral across the drying tray's surface. As materials transition from the small drying tray's outer edge to the larger drying tray below, they move inward and fall to the next layer from the middle feeding port. The alternating arrangement of large and small drying plates enables seamless material flow throughout the dryer.
The hollow drying plate is infused with heating mediums like saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, or high-temperature molten salt. These mediums enter from one end and exit from the other. Dried materials fall from the last drying tray layer to the aggregate tray, finally being transported to the discharge port by the rake blades. Moisture is expelled through the dehumidification port on the top cover, or via the vacuum port in vacuum disc dryers. The discharged dry materials can be directly packaged. Auxiliary equipment like finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre dryers, and induced draft fans can enhance production capacity, making it ideal for drying paste-like and heat-sensitive materials, as well as facilitating solvent recovery, heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and reaction operations.
