Operational Principle:
Wet materials are continuously introduced from the feeder to the first layer drying plate at the top of the dryer. The rotating rake arm with rake blades incessantly flips the materials, allowing them to flow along the surface of the drying tray in an exponential spiral. The materials progress from the small drying tray to the outer edge and descend to the large drying tray below. On the large drying tray, materials move inward, descending through the central feeding port to the subsequent small drying tray. This alternating arrangement of large and small drying trays enables a continuous material flow throughout the dryer.
The hollow drying plates are filled with heating mediums such as saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, and high-temperature molten salt, entering from one end and exiting from the other. Dried materials fall from the last drying tray to the aggregate tray, where rake blades transport them to the discharge port. Moisture is expelled through the dehumidification port on the top cover. In the vacuum disc dryer, moisture is extracted via the vacuum port on the top cover. The bottom-layer dried materials can be directly packaged. By incorporating auxiliary devices like finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre-dryers, and induced draft fans, drying capacity is significantly enhanced. This setup also facilitates the recovery of solvents and enables heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and reaction operations for paste-like and heat-sensitive materials.
