The disc continuous dryer is a highly efficient, conductive, continuous drying system. Its unique design and operational principles ensure high thermal efficiency, low energy consumption, a compact footprint, simple configuration, easy operation and control, and an excellent operating environment.
Operational Principle:
Wet materials are continuously introduced from the feeder to the first-layer drying plate at the top of the dryer, where a rake arm with rake blades rotates to continuously flip the materials. The materials flow over the drying tray surface in an exponential spiral. From the small drying tray, materials move to the outer edge and fall onto the large drying tray below. On the large drying tray, materials move inward and fall through the middle feeding port to the next small drying tray below. This alternating arrangement of large and small drying plates ensures a continuous flow of materials through the dryer.
The hollow drying plates are filled with heating mediums such as saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, and high-temperature molten salt. The heating medium enters from one end of the plate and exits from the other. Dried materials fall from the last layer of drying trays to the aggregate tray, where they are conveyed to the discharge port. Moisture is removed through a dehumidification port on the top cover, with vacuum extraction possible in vacuum disc dryers. The final dry materials can be directly packaged. Adding auxiliary equipment like finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre-dryers, and induced draft fans enhances drying capacity. Additionally, paste-like and heat-sensitive materials can easily recover solvents, and operations like heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and reactions can be performed.

Atmospheric pressure type: With low airflow velocity and variable humidity inside the equipment, dust remains low, and the exhaust gas from the dehumidification outlet is nearly dust-free.
Sealed type: Equipped with a solvent recovery device, it efficiently recovers organic solvents from humid gases. The device is straightforward and boasts a high recovery rate. For handling flammable, explosive, toxic, and oxidizable materials, the use of protective gas ensures safe, closed-loop operation, making it ideal for such applications.
Vacuum type: This disc dryer operates under a vacuum, making it particularly suitable for drying heat-sensitive materials.
