Principle:
The vacuum rake dryer is a sophisticated horizontal intermittent vacuum drying device. Wet material is evaporated through conduction, while a scraper agitator continuously removes the material on the hot surface, ensuring effective circulation within the container. The evaporated water is efficiently pumped out by a vacuum pump. Widely used in the chemical industry for drying organic semi-finished products and fuels.
This advanced vacuum rake dryer utilizes a steam jacket to indirectly heat materials and exhaust gases under high vacuum conditions. It is especially effective for materials sensitive to high temperatures, prone to oxidation, or requiring recovery of removed vapor or solvents. Capable of drying materials with a moisture or solvent content up to 90%, down to as low as 15%. The dryer handles materials in various forms-slurry, paste, granules, powder, or fibrous. Post-drying, moisture content can be reduced to 0.1%, or even 0.05%.
Materials are fed from the upper middle part of the shell. The rotating harrow teeth ensure continuous surface renewal as materials contact the shell wall. Indirect steam heating facilitates moisture vaporization, which is promptly removed by a vacuum pump. The machinery supports simultaneous interlayer and harrow tooth heating. The high operating vacuum enhances moisture discharge from the material surface and interior, optimizing the drying process.
