Principle:
The innovative vacuum rake dryer is a horizontal, intermittent vacuum drying apparatus. It evaporates moisture through conduction, with a scraper agitator that continuously cleans the hot surface material and keeps it moving for optimal circulation. The evaporated water is efficiently pumped out by a vacuum pump, making it particularly valuable for drying organic semi-finished products and fuels in the chemical industry.
The steam jacket in the vacuum rake dryer heats materials indirectly under high vacuum conditions. This is ideal for materials that are sensitive to high temperatures, easily oxidized, or tend to become powdery when dried. It also efficiently recovers vapor or solvents during the drying process. The moisture or solvent content in materials can range from 90% to as low as 15%, accommodating slurry, paste, granular, powdery, or fibrous forms. Post-drying, the moisture content generally reduces to 0.1%, or even 0.05%.
Material is fed from the top middle of the shell. Under the constant rotation of harrow teeth, the material continuously contacts the shell wall and renews its surface. This indirect steam heating causes moisture to vaporize, which is promptly removed by a vacuum pump. The machine can simultaneously heat through the interlayer and harrow teeth. The high operating vacuum creates a significant vapor pressure difference, facilitating efficient moisture removal and achieving optimal drying results.
