The disc continuous dryer is a highly efficient conductive drying system featuring a unique structure and operating principle. Operational Principle:
Wet materials are continuously fed onto the first layer drying plate at the top of the dryer. As the rake arm with blades rotates, it perpetually flips the materials, which move along an exponential spiral across the drying tray surface. The materials transition from smaller to larger drying plates in an alternating up-and-down arrangement, ensuring consistent flow through the entire dryer.
The hollow drying plates are infused with a heating medium, such as saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, or high-temperature molten salt, entering from one end and exiting from the other. Dried materials descend from the last drying tray to the aggregate tray and are then transported by rake blades to the discharge port. Moisture is expelled through the top cover's dehumidification port or extracted via the vacuum port. The final dry materials can be directly packaged. Enhancing the drying process with auxiliary equipment like finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre-dryers, and induced draft fans boosts production capacity and facilitates the recovery of solvents, along with other operations such as heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and reactions.
