Operational Principle:
Wet materials are introduced continuously from the feeder to the uppermost drying plate. A rotating rake arm with blades ensures consistent flipping of materials. These materials traverse the drying tray's surface in an exponential spiral pattern. As materials reach the small drying tray's outer edge, they descend to the large drying tray below, following an alternating arrangement that promotes uninterrupted flow through the dryer.
Inside the hollow drying plate, a heating medium such as steam, hot water, thermal oil, or molten salt circulates, entering from one end and exiting the other. Dried materials cascade onto an aggregate tray before being guided to the discharge port by rake blades. Moisture escapes through a dehumidification port on the top cover, while vacuum disc dryers employ a vacuum port for moisture extraction. The dried output, ready for packaging, can be enhanced by auxiliary equipment such as finned heaters, condensers, filters, and fans, allowing for solvent recovery and conducting operations like heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and reaction processing.
