Principle:
Our innovative vacuum rake dryer is a state-of-the-art horizontal, intermittent vacuum drying system. Wet materials undergo evaporation through conduction, while the scraper agitator continuously removes material from the hot surface, promoting circulation within the container. Evaporated water is efficiently pumped out by a vacuum pump. This dryer is predominantly used in the chemical industry for drying organic semi-finished products and fuels.
Featuring a steam jacket, our vacuum rake dryer heats materials indirectly and expels gases under high vacuum conditions, making it ideal for heat-sensitive, easily oxidizable, or powder-producing materials during drying. It excels in operations requiring the recovery of vapor or solvents. The system accommodates materials with moisture or solvent content ranging from 15% to 90%, transforming them from slurries, pastes, granules, powders, or fibers to a dried state with moisture content as low as 0.1%, or even 0.05%.
Materials are introduced from the top center of the shell, where constantly rotating harrow teeth agitate them, continuously renewing the surface in contact with the shell wall. This process ensures efficient indirect heating by steam, vaporizing moisture, which is promptly extracted by the vacuum pump. The machine can heat both the interlayer and harrow teeth simultaneously. The high operating vacuum creates a significant vapor pressure differential, facilitating rapid moisture removal from the material's interior and surface, optimizing the drying process.
