This process ensures efficient moisture removal through pressure or concentration differences, with water molecules gaining enough kinetic energy to diffuse to the low-pressure vacuum chamber, where they are effectively removed by the vacuum pump.

1. During vacuum drying, the pressure in the cylinder remains consistently lower than atmospheric pressure, significantly reducing gas density, oxygen content, and the risk of oxidative reactions and bacterial contamination.
2. Since the vaporization temperature of moisture is directly proportional to steam pressure, vacuum drying allows moisture to vaporize at low temperatures, making it ideal for heat-sensitive pharmaceutical production.
3. Vacuum drying eradicates surface hardening by maintaining a large pressure difference between the interior and exterior of the material, ensuring thorough and even drying.
