The disc continuous dryer is an innovative conductive continuous drying solution. Its unique design and operational principles ensure high thermal efficiency, low energy consumption, compact footprint, simple configuration, easy operation and control, and an excellent working environment.
Operational Principle:
Wet materials are continuously introduced from the feeder onto the first layer drying plate at the top. The rotating rake arm with rake blades constantly flips the materials, which flow along an exponential spiral across the drying tray surface. The material moves from the small drying tray to the outer edge, falling onto the larger drying tray below, moving inward, and falling onto the next small drying tray through the middle feeding port. This alternation of large and small trays allows materials to move continuously through the dryer.
The hollow drying plate is heated using mediums such as saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, or high-temperature molten salt, entering from one end and exiting from the other. The dried material falls from the last drying tray to the aggregate tray, conveyed by rake blades to the discharge port. Moisture is expelled through the dehumidification port or vacuum port on the top cover. Discharged dry materials are ready for direct packaging. Adding auxiliary equipment like finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre-dryers, and induced draft fans can enhance drying capacity, making it suitable for paste-like and heat-sensitive materials, and allowing for operations like heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and reactions.
