Principle:
The Vacuum Rake Dryer is an innovative horizontal intermittent vacuum drying system. In this setup, the wet material undergoes evaporation through conduction. A scraper agitator continuously cleanses materials from the heated surface, allowing them to circulate within the container. As the water evaporates, a vacuum pump effectively removes it. In the chemical industry, this dryer is predominantly employed for drying organic semi-finished products and fuels.
The vacuum rake driller utilizes a steam jacket to indirectly heat materials under a high vacuum, making it exceptionally suitable for materials that are heat-sensitive, prone to oxidation, or generate powder upon drying. It is particularly adept at material drying operations where vapor or solvent recovery is necessary during the process. In this dryer, the content of moisture or solvent in the dried material can range from 90% at the outset down to as low as 15%. The materials being dried might include slurries, pastes, granules, powders, or fibers, achieving moisture levels as low as 0.1% or even 0.05% post-drying.
Materials are introduced from the top middle of the shell, where continuously rotating harrow teeth agitate them. As they contact the shell wall, the material's surface is constantly refreshed and indirectly heated by steam, facilitating moisture vaporization. The evaporated moisture is efficiently extracted by a vacuum pump. This machine can simultaneously utilize interlayer and harrow tooth heating methods. Due to the elevated operating vacuum, the vapor pressure on the dried material's surface vastly exceeds that in the evaporating space of the dryer shell. This facilitates efficient water discharge from the dried material's surface and interior, enhancing the movement of water molecules to achieve optimum drying.
