The Disc Continuous Dryer is a state-of-the-art, efficient, and conductive drying equipment. Operational Principle:
Wet materials are continuously fed from the feeder to the first layer drying plate at the top of the dryer. The rake arm with rake blades rotates, constantly flipping the materials. These materials traverse the drying tray surface along an exponential spiral. On the small drying tray, materials are transferred to the outer edge and fall onto the large drying tray below. Here, the materials move inward and fall through the middle feeding port to the small drying tray on the next layer. This alternating arrangement ensures a seamless flow through the entire dryer.
The hollow drying plate is filled with a heating medium such as saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, or high-temperature molten salt, entering from one end and exiting from the other. Dried materials fall from the last drying tray to the aggregate tray and are finally transported by the rake blades to the discharge port. Moisture overflows and is discharged through the dehumidification port on the top cover. In vacuum disc dryers, moisture is extracted via the vacuum port. The dry materials discharged from the bottom layer can be directly packaged. Auxiliary equipment like finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre dryers, and induced draft fans can enhance drying capacity. This system also efficiently handles paste-like and heat-sensitive materials, recovering solvents and performing heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and reaction operations.
