Principle:
The Vacuum Rake Dryer is an innovative horizontal intermittent vacuum drying equipment. It evaporates wet materials through conduction while its scraper agitator continuously cleans the material on the hot surface, promoting circulation within the container. The evaporated water is then pumped out by a vacuum pump. This equipment is widely used in the chemical industry for drying organic semi-finished products and fuels.
Equipped with a steam jacket for indirect heating, the Vacuum Rake Dryer operates under high vacuum conditions to exhaust gas. It is ideal for drying materials that are heat-sensitive, prone to oxidation at high temperatures, or tend to produce powder when drying. Suitable for materials with moisture or solvent content ranging from 15% to 90%, this equipment can handle slurry, paste, granular, powdery, or fibrous materials. Post-drying, the moisture content can be reduced to as low as 0.1%, or even 0.05%.
Materials are fed from the top center of the shell and agitated by constantly rotating harrow teeth. As the material contacts the shell wall, its surface is continuously renewed and indirectly heated by steam. This process promotes moisture vaporization, which is efficiently extracted by the vacuum pump. The equipment can employ simultaneous heating of the interlayer and harrow teeth. Operating under high vacuum, it facilitates the efficient discharge of moisture from both the surface and interior of the dried material, achieving optimal drying results.

(3) Efficient Steam Consumption: The vacuum harrow dryer typically uses steam passing through the jacket to heat the material using latent heat. The steam consumption per kilogram of finished product is minimal, generally ranging from 1.3 to 1.8 kg.
