The disc continuous dryer is an advanced and efficient conductive continuous drying equipment. Operational Principle:
Wet materials are continuously fed from the feeder to the first layer drying plate on the upper part of the dryer. The rotating rake arm with rake blades ensures constant flipping of materials. As the material flows along an exponential spiral across the surface of the drying tray, it transitions from smaller to larger trays in an alternating pattern, facilitating continuous movement through the entire dryer.
The hollow drying plates are filled with heating mediums such as saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, or high-temperature molten salt. These mediums flow through the drying plates, ensuring efficient heat transfer. The dried material is eventually transported to the discharge port by rake blades, while moisture is expelled through the dehumidification port on the top cover. In vacuum disc dryers, moisture is extracted via the vacuum port. The dried material can be directly packaged or further processed with auxiliary equipment like finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre-dryers, and induced draft fans.
