Principle:
The vacuum rake dryer is an innovative horizontal intermittent vacuum drying apparatus. It evaporates wet material through conduction, with a scraper agitator continuously cleaning and moving the material within the container to form a circulating flow. The water is then evaporated and extracted by a vacuum pump, making it especially effective in the chemical industry's organic semi-finished products and fuel drying operations.
Featuring a steam jacket for indirect heating and gas exhaust under high vacuum, the vacuum rake dryer is particularly suited for materials that are heat-sensitive, prone to oxidation, or generate powder upon drying, such as various fuels. It excels in operations where vapor or solvent must be recovered, achieving up to 90% moisture or solvent content in dried materials, which can be in slurry, paste, granular, powdery, or fibrous forms. Post-drying, the moisture content can be reduced to as low as 0.1% or even 0.05%.
Material is introduced from the top center of the shell. Under the constant rotation of rake teeth, the material's surface is continuously refreshed upon contact with the shell wall. Indirect heating via steam facilitates moisture gasification, with vaporized moisture promptly extracted by a vacuum pump. The machine can heat both the interlayer and rake teeth simultaneously. The higher operating vacuum enhances the discharge of moisture from the material's surface and interior, optimizing water molecule movement and achieving efficient drying.
