Operational Principle:
Continuous addition of wet materials from the feeder to the topmost drying tray initiates the drying process. The rotating rake arms, equipped with rake blades, continually flip the materials as they progress through the drying tray surfaces in an exponential spiral. Materials transition from the small drying tray's outer edge, falling to the larger drying tray below, moving inward before descending through the middle feed port to the subsequent small drying tray. This alternating arrangement of large and small drying trays ensures a smooth flow through the dryer.
The hollow drying plates, filled with heating mediums such as saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, or high-temperature molten salt, facilitate efficient heat transfer. Entering from one end and exiting from the other, the heating medium ensures optimal drying. The final dried material descends to the aggregate tray and is moved by rake blades to the discharge port. Moisture escapes from the materials through a dehumidification port on the top cover, while the vacuum disc dryer extracts moisture via a vacuum port. The dry materials can be directly packaged, with optional auxiliary equipment like finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre dryers, and induced draft fans enhancing drying capacity. This setup is ideal for drying paste-like and heat-sensitive materials and supports various operations like heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and reaction processes.
