Operational Principle:
Wet materials are continuously fed from the top feeder to the first layer drying plate, where a rotating rake arm with blades constantly flips them. As the material flows across the drying tray surface in an exponential spiral, it transitions from the small drying tray to the larger one below. This alternating arrangement of large and small trays allows for a continuous material flow throughout the dryer.
The hollow drying plate is filled with various heating mediums such as saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, or high-temperature molten salt, entering from one end and exiting from the other. The dried material is collected in an aggregate tray and discharged via the rake blades. Moisture is expelled through dehumidification or vacuum ports, with the possibility of adding auxiliary equipment like finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre-dryers, and induced draft fans to enhance drying efficiency for paste-like and heat-sensitive materials, while also facilitating solvent recovery and enabling heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and reaction processes.
