Operational Principle:
In operation, wet materials are steadily fed onto the first drying plate at the top. The rotating rake arm with rake blades ensures continuous material turnover. The materials traverse the drying plate surface in an exponential spiral, transferring from the outer edge of the smaller plates to the larger plates below, and so on. This alternating arrangement ensures a seamless and continuous drying process throughout the equipment.
The hollow drying plates are filled with various heating media like saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, and high-temperature molten salt. The heating medium flows from one end to the other, efficiently drying the material, which is then transported to the discharge port by rake blades. Moisture is expelled through dehumidification or vacuum ports. Adding auxiliary equipment such as finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, pre-dryers, and induced draft fans can boost drying capacity, making it ideal for handling paste-like and heat-sensitive materials and facilitating operations like heating, cooling, calcination, sublimation, pyrolysis, and reactions.
