Principle:
The vacuum rake dryer is an innovative, horizontal, intermittent vacuum drying apparatus. It operates by conducting heat to wet materials, which are continuously scraped and agitated to promote even drying. The resulting vapor is efficiently removed by a vacuum pump. This dryer is especially ideal for organic semi-finished products and fuel drying tasks in the chemical industry.
Utilizing a steam jacket for indirect heating under high vacuum, the vacuum rake dryer excels at drying materials sensitive to high temperatures, prone to oxidation, or generating powder during drying. Capable of handling materials with moisture or solvent content up to 90% and as low as 15%, this dryer can process slurries, pastes, granules, powders, and fibrous substances. The final moisture content of dried materials can reach as low as 0.1%, or even 0.05%.
Materials are fed into the dryer from the top center, where agitating harrow teeth ensure continuous contact with the heated shell wall, promoting efficient gasification of moisture. The vaporized moisture is promptly extracted by a vacuum pump. Both the interlayer and harrow teeth can be heated, optimizing the drying process. The high operating vacuum facilitates rapid moisture discharge from both the material's surface and interior, ensuring thorough drying.
