Principle:
The vacuum rake dryer is an innovative horizontal batch vacuum drying system. It efficiently evaporates moisture through conduction, with a scraper agitator continuously cleaning the hot surface and moving the material within the container to create a circulating flow. The evaporated moisture is removed by a vacuum pump, making it ideal for drying organic semi-finished products and fuels in the chemical industry.
Featuring a steam jacket for indirect material heating and gas removal under high vacuum, our vacuum rake dryer is perfect for materials that are sensitive to high temperatures, prone to oxidation, or require powder production when dried. It also excels in drying operations where vapor or solvent recovery is necessary. The dried material can range from slurry, paste, granular, powdery, to fibrous, with final moisture content as low as 0.1% or even 0.05%.
Material is introduced from the top center of the shell, where constantly rotating rake teeth agitate it. As the material contacts the shell wall, its surface is continuously renewed and indirectly heated by steam, causing the moisture to vaporize. The vacuum pump then promptly removes the vaporized moisture. The machine can simultaneously heat the interlayer and rake teeth. The high operating vacuum enhances the discharge of moisture from the material's surface and interior, facilitating efficient molecule movement for optimal drying outcomes.
