Principle:
The vacuum rake dryer is an innovative horizontal intermittent vacuum drying apparatus. It operates by evaporating the wet material through conduction, with the scraper agitator continuously cleaning the hot surface and maintaining material circulation within the container. The evaporated moisture is then efficiently removed by a vacuum pump. Widely used in the chemical industry, it excels in drying organic semi-finished products and fuels.
Featuring a steam jacket for indirect heating and effective gas exhaust under high vacuum, the vacuum rake dryer is perfect for materials that are heat-sensitive, prone to oxidation, or generate powder during drying. It facilitates the recovery of vapors or solvents, and can dry materials with moisture content ranging from 90% to as low as 15%. The end result is highly varied dried products, including slurry, paste, granular, powdery, or fibrous materials, achieving moisture levels as low as 0.1%, or even 0.05%.
Materials are loaded from the upper part of the shell. Under the agitation of continuously rotating harrow teeth, the material's surface is constantly renewed, ensuring thorough indirect heating by steam. This process vaporizes the material's moisture, which is promptly removed by a vacuum pump. The machine can heat both the interlayer and the harrow teeth simultaneously. With a high operating vacuum, the pressure differential enhances the movement of water molecules from within and on the surface of the material, optimizing the drying process.
